Tern is a relatively young bicycle manufacturer, founded only in 2011. Ever since that, it has become one of the leaders in the field of folding bikes. The Node D8 combines a light, rigid and design-like frame with high-quality components and many advanced technologies. One example for all - the OCL Joint folding mechanism is up to two times tighter, Igus bearings work smoothly, and minimizes the torsional motion. The mechanism is additionally safe thanks to the Double AutoLok system. N-fold composing allows for much faster handling within a few seconds.
Magnetix 2.0 is the successor to the first generation of Magnetix coupling system and keeps the wheel in a folded condition under all conditions. The new magnets provide up to 300% more power and their connection is much more reliable and stronger. The actual composition of the wheel takes only ten seconds.
The special DoubleTruss frame technology is much more resilient to torsion forces. It promises a long service life and excellent driving performance. Some manufacturers have Achilles' heel when it comes to bike manufacturing for some other brands, but this does not apply to Tern. The 3D Physis control tube boasts massive construction made of one piece of aluminium. Inside, Igus bearings are fitted with a rubber seal for even longer life. If necessary, replace everything piece by piece.
With this bike, riding in a clogged city will make it a pleasant ride. The manufacturer also designed the bike with its light-terrain capability for cycling and therefore equipped it with a 24-inch double-rim, with which you can overcome even minor inequalities, without even noticing your lap.Maximum ride comfort is ensured by the Neos derailleur specially developed for small wheels and its main advantage is a perfectly fast and precise gear. The derailleur is further protected from damage thanks to its low profile.
