If you pour quickly, the water flows out from multiple sides and scalds you, the water then runs down the kettle
I have a rag in my hand every time I handle it, and I'm always wiping water somewhere.
But if you manipulate extra slow, it's manageable

After reading the review I was quite unhappy, but in the end I am satisfied. The lid doesn't smell, condensed water from the lid runs back into the kettle, it beeps but it doesn't bother me, it's not noisy, it keeps the water warm for a long time, from 100 degrees it's 80 after an hour.
