I bought the carpets purely for practical reasons, but in the end I kept the original fabric carpets in the car, as they give the interior a more upmarket look, especially in the higher trim levels. So the rubber mats won’t go in the car until winter. I was surprised by how well the carpets fit – they fit perfectly. The higher edge catches more snow and dirt, and the carpet extends right under the seat. I consider it a major advantage that the carpet is solid all the way across, from the area under the wheel arch where the driver rests their foot to the rest of the carpet, so that any dirt from the left shoe stays on the carpet and doesn’t fall behind the edge of the carpet, as is usually the case.
