I didn't know how big balls to buy, but this is all I needed. The hard (blue) balls are actually so hard that even when you press them with your foot, they don't get dented and the spines massage the sole of the foot perfectly (they are simply made of hard plastic). On the other hand, the softer ones are like the classic ones that can be squeezed and I usually start massaging the foot with them and then switch to the hard ones. I really recommend, even if you don't buy these, to buy different hardness balls.
