A pleasant surprise for me. I am most satisfied with the size, it fits me very well, neither too big nor too small. Excellent battery life for today: with intensive use it lasts me a day with a reserve, with normal use it lasts two days. It doesn' t overheat even with intensive use. Without the case, it was at most slightly warm. It' s fast enough, everything works smoothly without lag. I have no objections to the display and sound quality. The camera offers highly superior options for those who are willing to master its settings.

I owned a Pixel 4a 5G, which I already had to replace. I hesitated between this and the Pixel 7. After buying the Pixel 7, I found that it's actually exactly the same phone as the previous one (except maybe for a better camera and higher performance). However, after a couple of years and the 16k it cost me, I would have expected something new, some major change that didn't happen at all. So I returned the Pixel and reached for the Soňák, which was more expensive, but it's a phone that's just different and I'm very happy with the change. I would have preferred the 1 V, but the price tag was already above my budget: ).

I'm a fan of Sony Xperia phones. I've always liked that they go their own way and have something that the competition doesn't have. For example, battery life.
With the Xperia 5 V, I still have 30% battery left after 4 days and 10 hours of SOT.
No other current phone even comes close.
I enjoy taking pictures with this phone. It seems Sony has finally learned to do post-processing.
Another thing I always enjoyed about Xperia phones was the almost pure Android environment.
Combined with a powerful processor and a quality display, this is a really pleasant user experience.
The 21:9 film format is very impractical for a mobile phone. The phone is unnecessarily long.
But on the other hand, pleasantly narrow.
I miss the notification LED a bit, but a decent patch is the always on function or waking up the phone by tapping.
I don't miss the telephoto lens at all. It was never as good as the main camera.
The 2x zoom on the main camera is a much better solution with regard to photo quality.
Overall, this is a very good phone, whose qualities will be appreciated especially by a fan of the brand.

I was originally deciding between the Xperia 5 V and the Nothing phone 2. After re-evaluating, I decided on this model and so far I have no regrets. Yes android has its bugs. We'll see if the update to the new one solves some of this. I switched to mobile from Motorola and I miss Moto Actions immensely. but a person who has never had them probably doesn't even know what he is talking about.
