I heard and read quite a bit about Sivga Robin and needed a replacement for my Meze 99 Classic, which disappointed me a lot. After unpacking, I found out that the headphones are even prettier in the dark color than in all the videos combined, and I immediately fell in love with the wood (again). The earbuds are fantastically soft and comfortable and are one of the few headphones that I can really wear all day from morning to evening. The padding on the headbridge could be stronger, but even that doesn' t detract from the comfort of the headphones. As for the sound, it' s not a classic Hi-Fi, it' s definitely not. After all, it is a cheaper closed model and it sounds like that. The “can“ syndrome can be heard a bit, but that' s just the price for a closed design. Otherwise, it sounds very energetic, I would venture to say even relatively airy and unkempt, like many competitors. Yes, the bass plays a leading role here, but fortunately that doesn' t mean the rest of the spectrum has come to a hurt. The heights are not sharp even in the hisses, but they are also not blunt and do not have a rolloff, so you can really hear everything the listener needs. The middle band is a bit affected by the middle bass hit and the performance of male vocals is rather denser. Both the kick and the synthetic bass can make a hole in the head when needed. The texture of the bass is not perhaps the best definition, but the bass is pleasant, dense, albeit a little slow. The 50mm converter can definitely move the air well. Overall, this is a sound that gets used to very quickly and that you can listen to all day, unlike Grado or Beyerdynamic, which are much more “pushing the saw“, and are also very suitable for mixing or critical listening. If you want headphones that can play most genres well and you don' t want to mind, Sivga Robin is a really fantastic piece of electronics.
