The inner container is practical, but compared to other models of the same basket (without container) it reduces the usable volume quite significantly (a basket of the same volume without container has much smaller dimensions).
The sensor works quite well, but not quite practical is the function of locking in the open state when holding your hands near the sensor for more than 3 seconds. It happens that a person, for example, empties crumbs from a plate into the bin and the lid locks and won't close. As a result, it puts some pressure on the user to hurry up and get it done.
The claimed 1200 openings sounds awfully luxurious, but it's only when using the battery-powered basket that you start to realise how many times a day you actually open the basket. Suddenly, after recalculation, it's a month or two of endurance. And that's getting expensive. Then you start to feel that you should limit yourself and put small things aside and throw them away all at once. We eventually returned the basket and kept the mechanical one.
