After switching from an older phone, the difference is really noticeable. The mobile feels fast, apps load without waiting and the display is beautifully legible even outdoors in the sun. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound from the speakers and also the stability of the system, so far my phone has not crashed once. The camera shoots well mainly during the day, in the evening the quality is a bit weaker, but still above average in this price range. The battery lasts about a day and a half with normal use. For me, a good phone for someone who does not want to spend on a flagship model, but at the same time wants a modern and reliable device.
Operating system agility
Display
Battery life
Photos in the dark could be a bit better (expected in the price range)
I bought the mobile as a gift for my wife. The last model was samsung galaxy a 51 with which she was satisfied and used it for over five years and now it is used by her son. So after an excellent experience with the old model, we bought the new model galaxy a 57. At first glance, the phone is beautifully crafted at the level of premium models a few thousand more expensive. Shooting in the light, the photos are nicely colored and it is known that it shoots much better than the older model, shooting in the serum is a little worse, but in this price range is probably sufficient. I also decided for this model because it has long support for android updates and I believe it will serve as long as the older model. I was just a little bit disturbed by the installation of a few base applications such as temu, adobe readers and the like. I know this from the cheaper Chinese mobile phone brands, but with Samsung I was a little surprised that this is necessary. I use an older Google pixel 7a with pure android, but samsung does not have pure android, but its software settings are reliable, it does not crash, my wife is used to this environment and would not change. Even with the older model and the 51 there was never a problem.
nice processing
fast charging 45 watts
nice display
instead of a macro lens, a telephoto lens could be included
The new A57 within the A5x series brings a noticeably improved design over the previous generation, which surprised me in particular with its improved construction (including higher IP68 protection), which feels more premium in the hand, both in materials and noticeably thinner construction and lower weight - those 19 grams down are surprisingly quite noticeable in the hand. The battery capacity is kept at the same value as in A56, i.e. relatively decent 5000 mAh. So far, the A57's endurance seems good to me, but only time will tell after installing all applications and in different usage scenarios. In terms of performance, the new generation Exynos 1680 delivers about 15-20% extra performance over the previous one, which can be noticeable in more demanding usage scenarios. Otherwise, most things remain the same compared to the A56 - display, camera and charging. New are AI features that bring the phone slightly closer to the S series. However, if you're moving from an A35, it's a pretty significant upgrade. First of all, the performance is compared to the "poorer" older brother is much more noticeable, the ultra-wide camera has 12 MP compared to 8 MP, charging is faster thanks to 45W, the display has smaller black edges, and the difference in weight of 30g is already noticeable not only in the hand, but also in the pocket. And, of course, longer SW support (up to 6 years) and OneUI 8.5 right from launch. The photos show a comparison of A57 (grey) vs A35 (blue). The difference in body thickness is even more noticeable than in the photos.
Premium acting body
Thinner than the previous generation while maintaining battery capacity
Lighter, it's really quite noticeable
New AI features
Long SW support (up to 6 years)
Better eSIM handling compared to A35 and even A56
The display and cameras are unchanged from the A56
It doesn't have wireless charging, too bad, it could finally make it to the top A-range
It does not have a microSD slot, so you need to fully rely on the built-in memory, and choose a variant with sufficient capacity from the start
I'm switching from the A54 to the Galaxy A57. At first glance, the A57 looks much more premium, the phone is incredibly thin and light. It's holding up well. The display in the sun finally doesn't burn the eyes and everything runs lightning fast, which was not the case with the older A54 after a while. Progress can be seen in photography in the dark when photos can be very sharp.
There are a few flies, though:
Ergonomics: Because of the sharp edges and thin profile, my palms cut a little after holding it for a long time. But I solved it with a wrapper.
Batteries: Although it recharges quickly thanks to 45W charging, I was surprised that the battery life is only "standard" i.e. only one day - the A54 subjectively seemed to me like a bigger holder. Price: The starting price tag is up again. Even though I have not let the A series for years, thanks to the fact that the price is again a little higher, I was considering this purchase for a while. In the end, chance solved it for me and I accidentally broke the original phone. The A57 is a great machine, but if my A54 still served me well, I'd probably wait another generation before buying it.
I have a business A34 and a private A53, and it was the A53 that I traded in for the A57. It's a plus difference, especially when it comes to photos. However, the 53, still works very well and I'll keep it for emergencies and hope the 57 will be just as good. Just a pity about the lack of SD card, otherwise great.
The phone is very narrow and light, great to hold in the hand, bright and beautifully legible display, good performance, although a little more expensive price but I do not let Samsung. The phone is equipped with artificial intelligence that simplifies, speeds up and adds new control options
I was pleasantly surprised by the Samsung Galaxy A57 and I am really happy with it. It's fast, smooth and handles normal use and multiple apps at once without any problems. I chose the 256 GB memory option because you can't insert an external memory card into the phone, so I wanted to have enough space for photos, videos and apps. I also appreciate the large and high-quality display, which is easy to work on. Overall, I don't miss anything about the phone and it meets everything I expect from a modern mobile phone.
After a few weeks of use, the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G has pleasantly surprised me, especially with how balanced it feels. It's not a phone that tries to shock with extreme parameters, but in everyday use it works very confidently and reliably. The 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage option is the ideal compromise in my opinion - enough power and space for several years to come. The biggest plus for me is the 6.7" Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The picture is beautifully smooth, the colours are vibrant and the outdoor legibility is very good. For watching videos, social networking or casual use, the display is really great. The performance of the Exynos 1680 combined with 8 GB of RAM handles multitasking, apps and casual games without any problems. The phone is snappy, the One UI 8.5 system looks polished and Samsung also promises long software support, which is a big advantage today. On the other hand, there are more powerful alternatives at a similar price point for demanding gamers. The cameras are solid especially during the day. The main 50MP sensor shoots nicely sharp and colour-balanced photos, the ultra-wide lens is good for landscapes and the macro is more of an afterthought. Night photos are usable, but here you can see the limits of the mid-range. The disadvantages of the camera are made up for by SW when shooting at night. I also rate the battery very well. The 5000 mAh capacity can easily last all day even with more active use and the 45W charging is pleasantly fast. The phone is also surprisingly thin and light, so it feels good in the hand. Overall, I would recommend the Samsung Galaxy A57 8GB/256GB to anyone who wants a modern and reliable phone with a quality display, long support and hassle-free everyday use. It's not a revolution or a gaming beast, but it works really well as an all-purpose phone and feels very grown up. Ideal candidate for someone who wants a quality mid-range Samsung
Overall phone speed and responsiveness
AMOLED 120Hz display quality
Long-term ( 6 years ) availability of updates
Fast 45W charging and 5000mAh battery life
Very high quality camera
IP68 protection
Within Samsung, it is a good price/performance ratio plus using CASHBACK + dealer promotions
Stereo sound
Impractical protruding camera island, which is understandable due to the preservation of the thin frame
The Samsung A57 is a return to Android from iOS for me. The operation of the phone is smooth without any glitches. Transferring your account from iOS thanks to the Samsung app is also completely seamless. The only weakness against the apple is the camera which I struggle with so far, but that will probably just be a matter of habit. The camera also has a slight delay in where it points and what it displays on the screen. The speaker sound pleasantly surprised me, the phone can be very loud without annoying noise. The phone is very light and thin in the hand (size XL/10) fits just right so that the thumb of one hand covers the phone completely. Overall a very nice mid-range phone for reasonable money.
Size, weight
Display
Price/performance ratio
Initial setup and transfer from an old phone
Camera lag and then its focusing from close-up to small text
For some, perhaps the lack of a 3.5mm jack and SD card slot (but this is seen little nowadays)
