I tried it as an alternative to the original. Patona Platinum has about 85% of the capacity of the original, but overheats more in long 4K50p 10bit shooting on Fuji X-T4 (all flashlights get very hot in this mode). It also has a higher capacity than the more expensive Patona Protect. What I still don't like is that almost all W235 flashlights I've tried don't show the charge capacity well. You happen to be filming, the red flashlight pops up, as if the battery is completely dead, but you can film for another 30min. Not only the original does this.
I have walked with them in Nepal and 5500m in temperatures down to -15°C and no difference from the original.
