With the fact that it will not be extremely protective of the disk from dust and water, it was clear to me from the photos and I expected that as I will only use it as a server for the router. However, the steel grille is black and not silver (fine for me, but still photos are misleading).
However, the grille definitely provides better cooling than a sealed disc, which is nice for my 24/7 use.
The worst part, however, is that to prevent the disc from flying inside, there are packed foam pads (which do not need to be used but then hold the disc only on the sata connector and the disc has a lot of clearance when shaking). since I wanted to see the disc inside and not the foam filling.
But it works as it should.
