Good for EDC, occasionally to shine a light on something, or as an emergency. I probably wouldn't take it as my main flashlight, though. I wouldn't even make it out of the woods. It doesn't last miraculously long and after a few seconds of switching to higher than the lowest power it starts to heat up profusely. I've put it through the water several times and it's held up.
