While a number of fans of this 2K series have not been exactly thrilled with the recent releases (a whole lot of mini-transactions if one wants to move faster), that is definitely not the case for me.
Again, a shift in gameplay and individual game modes (MyTeam, MyGM)
Fine handling of MyCareer mode
The aforementioned mini-transactions, but you can do without them completely, everything just takes longer (more game time and fun: ) )
