In the factory UEFI version, the SecureBoot feature cannot be disabled, which causes problems with installing anything other than MS Windows. The only way to fix this is to update the UEFI, which automatically starts after installing MS Windows. So to install Linux, the first thing to do is to install Windows, click through a few pop-ups about being able to chat with MSI's AI chatbot (why? ), then you can disable SecureBoot and install Linux.
