With a pencil sharpener, I've sharpened about 100 pencils and crayons in half an hour without any problems. (You just need to empty the hopper in time: -) I can now forget about the eternal breaking of ink in ordinary pencil sharpeners.
It works by first sliding the front panel with the hole away from the tool, the pencil is pushed through the hole in the sliding panel to the hole in the pencil sharpener. The pencil is fixed in the panel by a spring. As soon as you start turning the knob, the panel starts to slide back into the sharpener with the pencil, pushing it against the sharpener inside. The screw on the handle can be used to adjust whether the pencil is pushed all the way in (the tip is cut completely) or whether it stops a little earlier (the tip remains blunt).
The disadvantage is the weak attachment to the table. It doesn't hold when trimming. Maybe some handyman would invent an improvement, but otherwise it is necessary to hold the pencil sharpener with the other hand, which actually does not matter so much, because the pencil feeds itself.
