This mouse is not for you if you use the thumb buttons even a little bit. In general, I would only recommend it if you're a cork fan, or if you're going to have it bundled with a cork keyboard -- but otherwise, it doesn't offer anything compared to cheaper pieces.
non-traditional material (cork)
nonsensical placement of the thumb buttons
smooth wheel

Design mouse. Pleasant cork, it is hard, not flexible. Smooth surface (not rubberized, no risk of peeling). The question is what the cork will do after a while.
The wheel is flat, shaped like a car tyre. The wheel has a pleasant and light operation, it can be pressed easily. I would rank the button noise level as mid to slightly noisier. The mouse doesn't light up, it only flashes when the resolution changes. It's a pencil (AA) battery, fits in there and works with a rechargeable NiMH.
It connects only by dongle (it should be compatible with the keyboard, so one dongle for mouse and keyboard should be enough. ). The dongle can be inserted over the magnetic cover next to the flashlight.
Compared to other vertical, resp. to oblique mice is low. It didn't hold up well for me. I would need a 1 cm thick "chassis" underneath. Lengthwise, i.e. from the root of the thumb to the ends of the fingers, the mouse is rather longer, i.e. for medium to larger hands (which does not correspond with the lower height).
I have no reservations about the functionality, accurate, works on a variety of surfaces. Perhaps, the gliders are flat, so they have a larger contact area with the pad. Compared to e.g. it's a little less slippery with the HP, but it's still great.
I like that it's battery operated, I'm not dependent on battery life. I like the look, the dongle stowed in the body of the mouse and the magnetic cover (the whole top part incl. "buttons"). Which is a nice touch, because you can actually take it all off and wash it separately. Plus, there are screws so you can disassemble the mouse and maybe even clean the wheel. The wheel is a separate chapter, I found it really fine-tuned in operation and shape.
I miss the BT connectivity at this price point.
