You will get burned on the body of the kettle after boiling, the handle made of "wood" is an imitation (foil) and the kettle lets steam through to the base, which I absolutely do not understand in terms of safety and price. I wouldn't buy this overpriced "luxury" piece of crap again.

This is the third kettle we've bought after our previous one ran out and we're finally happy. The kettle has an elegant appearance and the materials and workmanship used look very good.
Most importantly - which was the reason for returning the previous two - you can normally pour heated water from it into a mug.
Maybe it is a bit heavier than the classic platypus but I don't take that as a disadvantage.
My wife and I just love it, it works as it should and it looks good on the counter: -)
