I installed the cooler and was pleased with the way everything fit and went on easily. Unfortunately, I was horrified after the first half hour. CPU temperatures at 70% utilization in ACC game up to 100° and hovered around 95°. And that's at 70% utilization! Of course, I immediately turned off the computer and wondered what to do now. I figured the heatsink must be holding the CPU badly, because there's no way it's getting that hot. So I thought of replacing the radiator extensions. I used the ones that fit the 1151 socket according to the instructions, however I compared them with the socket 1700 extension, and they are about a millimeter lower. I thought I'd give it a try. And lo and behold. Temperatures are now max 66° at 100% usage, but used to be between 60° and 65°. At rest, the temperature is 29° to 31°. So only after using incompatible attachments according to the instructions, the cooler really cools and I must say that really well. It's amazing how quiet it is and yet it cools so well. I don't know about it at all and I left the box open next to me while testing. I would definitely recommend the cooler now, it's an amazing cooler for the price, but beware, you need to play with it and test it. Don't expect everything to be as it should be right away. Btw, a huge plus for the included clips for the second fan and cooling paste.
