Probably works with newer laptop models. PC and older ntb do not support USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode! But you won't read that anywhere before you buy it. Even on the manufacturer's site the terms are for iMac but Windows is supposedly compatible, which is not always the case.
Look out! Make sure your laptop has USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Otherwise it doesn't work!
