My transition is from the Freebuds 4i to the Freebuds 5i and I personally don't see that much difference (even though the Freebuds 4i were very good headphones). I listen to a lot of DnB myself and even though I know these headphones are not made for it, I chose them because of all the extra features they offer at this price point and I am not disappointed. I haven't heard much positive feedback about the bass boost, but I am pleasantly surprised how well it works (the same cannot be said for the treble, which doesn't bother me). You can't expect any miracles from ANC, but when you have music playing in your headphones, it's fully sufficient.
