I have read various reviews of this thermometer that it is inaccurate, but I believe that is not the case. Yes, if you take the thermometer out of the armpit immediately after the beep, the temperature reading is indeed a few tenths lower. So, after reading the instructions and doing my test, I know that it needs to be left in the armpit for at least 2 minutes to get the correct readings. Even after beeping, the display slowly increases. I did a test with an older Rapid flex and the readings varied by 1 to 2 tenths of a degree max. So for me, satisfaction.
