Actually, we bought it mainly for the design and the temperature adjustment features, which the kettle fulfilled. But one doesn't think ahead of the very great impracticality of the hatch and the water level indicator.
The fact that it doesn't turn off when the water is really boiling violently is something most kettles we've had have, so that's just an aside.

the heat sensor is misplaced, the water is boiling, bubbling and clouds of steam are coming out of the kettle, but the thermometer shows 95°C and the kettle is still boiling at full boil for another 5-7 seconds
