I have several of them, most of them I use for Christmas lights and they always work even if some of them are not used for months, I put them in the socket and they immediately connect to the wifi,
Except they're Schuko (no ground pin) and you don't plug everything in unless it's Schuko compatible. Otherwise, they work perfectly.
