Who wants pure Android, please. It's very pleasant, the environment is intuitive and agile. The camera, both front and back, surprises with nice colours and the AI features are nice. The phone is just right in your hand, no paddle. Some might be bothered by the slow charging, but with the battery life you'll only charge it overnight anyway, as it lasts all day with complete ease. I've been using the mobile for over half a year and I'm very satisfied so far.

At this time and price range, this is one of the best phones on the market that meets my requirements. Quality photos, minimalist photomodule, no bloatware, solid battery life and long update support. Compared to China in terms of HW it lags behind (it does not have e.g. Silicon-Carbon battery), but it should have better security for your data. Aesthetically I think it looks good, it's just awfully slippery without the cover.
Price/performance ratio
Pure android + fast updates

2 SIMs (1 standard, 1 eSIM)
Compared to iOS, it has advanced AI features

By default, it only supports ChromeCast, not FreeCast
It does not have a button to toggle silent mode

I've only had it for a short time, but so far I'm completely satisfied. I switched from the Samsung Galaxy A22 and there is definitely a rapid difference in the camera. He really knows how to do it, beautiful photos.
Data transfer from old phone to new one done in a few minutes and all apps copied to 1.
Fingerprint reader works quickly and seamlessly
Big advantage of Gemini in mobile, big help in setup.
Super sound
Wider edges, but not heavy and holds well.
It doesn't have a headphone jack, unfortunately the reduction didn't work so I had to buy microC headphones
In the short time I've had it I haven't found anything, so far 100% satisfaction.

A phone that does a few things right and many things wrong. I'll talk about the prisoners later on. For starters, I'm a longtime Pixel user, and I've directly compared the 9a to the P7 and P9. The phone has the current Tensor G4 cip in it, but it does not have its modem, but the problematic modem from the previous model. It suffered from high power consumption and signal dropouts. How problematic it will be here will become clear in time. The chip still has about 50% of the performance of the current cpu switch. There are promised 7 years of OS updates but it is questionable how Android 22 will move on the Tensor G4. The display uses low-frequency PWM for dimming, so if you are sensitive to it, it can burn your eyes or give you a migraine. The display offers only two colour adjustment options. Natural and adaptive (alive). Would you take the blue down a bit, or increase the red? Forget it. Strange behaviour of Adaptive Brightness. It often pulls the brightness down unreasonably low. In the interior I thought it was 100% automatic. jase corresponded to 40% on manual jase, at the same luminance. So if the display seemed dark and I wanted to increase the brightness, I couldn't, because I was at 100%. I had to turn on manual brightness in the menu. Hopefully this will be fixed with an update. The main sensor is smaller than for example in P7,8,9. Compared to a direct comparison with P7 and P9, it loses. Also on P7. The 9a has better white balance, but is worse in amount and therefore detail. But the differences are visible when you compare them on the monitor. If you just take a photo and look at it on your mobile screen or throw it on Instagram, don't worry. As I mentioned, there is a smaller cip and therefore a smaller Blur effect, i.e. blurring of the surroundings. Smaller cip = greater depth of field. The selfie has no focus and it seems to me that the focus plane is moved too far back. I mean I take a selfie and I am out of focus, but the objects 0.5m behind me are already in focus. (I have noticed this in several foreign reviews) Another negative, for me, is 128GB as a base in 2Q 2025 and it is another sign that Google and Apple are missing the Chinese technological train. Because Cina can offer high-speed charging, better CPU, 256GB UFS 4.0 storage in cheaper waters. Here you pay for the software. It is up to you what you choose. And for me the biggest negative, the Battery health assistance fiction. Google will reduce the maximum battery voltage after 200 charging cycles and therefore affect your capacity. After about half a year of use, Google will artificially reduce your battery capacity. How much? only Google knows.
nice shape and weight = good grip
almost pure android, fast and regular updates
long support
wifi time
the main camera can focus from a short distance = "macro" photos
really huge bezels around the display
problematic modem from Pixel 8
low frequency PWM display
strange behaviour of automatic brightness
Battery health assistance
slow charging (both wired and wireless)

I upgraded from a samsung A40 almost 6 years old. I bought it because of the promised long-term software support and Graphene OS support. I deleted the original spyware operating system from google right out of the box - it doesn't run any useful programs or background tracking, which means it only drains maybe two percent overnight. Installation of graphene seamless. It's a little more expensive but hopefully it will last me longer than the samsung.

I'm comparing with my old Mate 20Pro, about 6 years old, Android 13, which of course ended support a long time ago and is now running out of battery. After the experience with Pixel - I better try to replace the battery. The phone is 6 years younger, but definitely not better. extremely slippery in the hand, cannot be switched off - the lock screen freezes. the screen redraws itself. a number of applications are crashing or breaking down. apparently Android is to blame again. I have another Android 16 on some Realm. Look, there's no comparison. A Chinaman wouldn't dare do such a thing. Pixel is a complete disaster. It should have a better display on paper, but it is practically identical in size. After unpacking only updates - 6G, each update something stopped working and something was fixed, but the resulting 'usability' unfortunately did not change. But what is a complete mockery is the desktop mod. Jesus. it can't be compared to the Mate 20pro at all. many applications are falling apart, the desktop is an imitation. completely unusable. I really use the desktop mod (actually, even now), but the Pixel version - it's not possible even with the best will.
it is possible to set the Audio L/R balance
Ma eSIM
Terrible software.
