I was looking for a small and minimalist phone with a good camera, without unnecessary kitsch, but with the ability to customize it to your image. For the first time I'm really happy with the phone, the only thing I miss is the bigger zoom, but that's my fault, I didn't realise the Pro version is the same size.

I bought the phone as a business phone. I use Samsung by default and have always been tempted to try the Pixel. The display may be smaller, but it's enough for basic business stuff. Pure android system, unlike OneUi, but every phone has something. So far I'm happy, battery ok, settings too. The main desktop doesn't completely reconfigure as I'm used to, but that's a personal thing, too bad. Otherwise everything is smooth, only when downloading updates etc. is pretty slow.

The transition from the older Pixel, so the wow effect didn't happen. Still, there are a lot of great features and design changes. A great phone that has confirmed me in the fact that Google is the only android alternative to Apple.

I've owned an iPhone X for almost 5 years. Then I switched to the Samsung S24 for a year and then to the Z Flip6 - 3 months. Samsung is cool, but the superstructure OneUi can stress people out, so much bloatware too much as the Gallery app, Galaxy store, Galaxy account, Cloud Galaxy etc etc. I know I don't have to use them but out of 128GB I only have about 58GB left. So I've switched to the Pixel 9 for the first time and I have to say it feels like I'm unboxing an iPhone X for the first time. The Android body is clean, fresh and in the 128GB version I have 88GB free. This is the feeling of freedom and you are the master of how you want to use the device. I think in the future either Pixel or iPhone.

Face Unlock works on all apps as from iPhone.
Missing 2x tap on the display to turn off the display. I don't understand why it doesn't have pure android 16 yet.

I was looking for a compact phone that would take decent pictures. Unfortunately, I'm probably not the target audience. I can accept the slow 27W charging, the missing PRO mode, the moody fingerprint reader and the non-functioning AI feature in CR. But I can't accept SW interference in the final form of the photos. Excessive sharpening, strong dimming of light and brightening of dark areas make the resulting photos not pretty. Subsequent photo editing in the app can add missing saturation and adjust contrast, but the photos show too much SW intervention. The fingerprint scanner sometimes works in the so-called. on the first try, sometimes on the second or third. On the positive side, I consider the compact size of the device, the fine-tuned environment without interference. Going forward, I wouldn't worry about the poor performance of the Google Tensor G4 processor. Google always tweaks the OS so that the phone runs smoothly. Which is a difference from other phone manufacturers.
compact size, beautiful design
agile environment
night photos
too much intervention of the software in the final form of the photos (the preview during shooting is almost useless)
more weight (you can get used to it)
moody fingerprint reader
slow charging compared to Chinese competition
missing PRO mode for phones over 15k CZK.
inability to merge app into folders
many AI functions are not functional in the Czech Republic
missing RAW format

Even though it's a smaller phone in format, it's a bit of a brick for a change, but again, it fits better in your pocket. It takes excellent photos, the environment is snappy, the display is excellent even in direct sunlight. Gemini is already nice to chat with even while driving in the car and it's no problem to dictate tasks, reminders and appointments directly to the AI and it will write them down in the calendar or diary. With wired Android auto in the WV T6.1 there is no problem.
Great camera that excels in low light conditions, evening city sunsets etc. they look really good.
About 15Gb more storage space than a similarly priced Samsung model with the same claimed memory - the advantage of pure Android.
In the base itself nicely sets the rest time adaptive charging and a few other things that I did not have in the mobile before or were done through other applications.
Some of the gadgets that one was used to from Samsung One UI are a bit missing, e.g. wifi startup routines etc.

My 3rd Pixel in a row - they just work
Better camera again compared to the Pixel 7a
Nimble, battery lasts 2 days
7 years of upgrades
Round corners are more practical - again, I compare with the predecessor
Compared to the current Pixel 10 small difference
I would have appreciated at least a 3x optical zoom, but that's up to the 9 Pro
