We have found that we cannot use " hard" compact tablets in our dishwasher. The dishes were sometimes not washed well and a white coating formed on the inside of the pots after washing. We switched to Finish, a brand recommended by the manufacturer of our dishwasher, and these problems disappeared. We also tried products from other brands, always gel or powder tablets (loose) or combined, not hard, it wasn' t bad either, but these washed the best.
They work well
The dishes are degreased, they drain well even fairly dry residues
It does not form a white coating on the bottom of the pots like many other tablets
Flavoring removes odors, but does not remain on the dishes
There is no grinding of the glass on the glasses

The Finish Ultimate Plus All in 1 Lemon capsules pleasantly surprised me with how beautifully they polish and clean dishes.
