Do you hate compromises and always require only the best hardware available, especially for perfectly smooth 4K gaming and, of course, the next generations of virtual reality? NVIDIA, in cooperation with EVGA, is now serving you on a silver platter the unrivalled GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti benefits maximally from the excellent Pascal architecture, which is based on the ultra-fast FinFET manufacturing process with a full support of the DirectX 12 interface. Physically, it is a GP102 chip, which forms a basis of the professional Titan X, but NVIDIA has decided for its fairly massive overhaul. On the one hand, the width of the memory bus has decreased to 352 bits. On the other hand, faster memory modules running at 11,008MHz were used for the very first time, which allowed the throughput to increase up to 484GB/s. Compared to 320GB/s and GTX 1080, the improvement is unique and within one generation absolutely incredible.
The EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 GAMING ICX graphics card is equipped with a patented cooling architecture, based on a completely different approach to controlling of fan rotation. While only one temperature sensor for the entire printed circuit board of the graphics card has been the standard until now, EVGA's new architecture is changing this concept. As a result, nine sensors give significantly better awareness of the current status of the card. Three fans operate in the asynchronous mode, which promises lower rotational frequency and lower noisiness compared to the synchronous connection.
