When you need to move a hot grill, you grab it just by these sides (they are not so hot) and in one of them there is a groove for a container. That overhang is quite useless there. I cooked pickled chicken breasts and hamburgers and there was half a teaspoon of lard. Most stuck to the plate and baked. To get excess juice into it, I would have to raise the grill. The slabs lack a slight slope to the overflow. If you use the top plate as a lid (even on the 1st stage), the scum runs down it and drips onto the line over its entire surface. The container will not catch it because the lid exceeds the set height. Foil under the grill will do a better job and you don' t have to wash it. The grill heats unevenly, it comes from the heating element on the plate. The most effective surface has the shape of an ellipse. The greatest heat is in the middle, the worst at the edges and at the connection. So you won' t use the entire area anyway. From what I observed, the grill heats up the plate and then goes to sleep, waits for the temperature to drop and heats up again. I expected it to continuously heat up and hold the temperature. The advantage should have been the BBQ layout. In reality, I make meat on the ridges, toast the rolls on the flat surface and then fold the meat. I would rather appreciate if the lid could be stuck at 45-60°, for such a quick turn. Sometimes you have to help turn the lid, especially when going from BBQ layout to closing. It tends to be in that horizontal position, then you don' t tilt it. Just lift it slightly from the bottom with a wooden spoon. As for carrying by the handle. I have respect for that. The handle doesn' t slide, but the grill is heavy and the lock is a piece of plastic. It can be seen that it opens a little on the other side, where the fuse is missing. The lock could have been metal.
