Our chinchillas apparently liked the food, so as an occasional supplement it was probably fine. As a complete food we definitely do not recommend it. Unfortunately, we substituted it with a completely different kibble for a few days (in the joy of how "our girls" like it) and it cost one chinchilla her life. Animals choose what they like best from the mixture. It can happen, as it happened unfortunately with us, that they will choose those ingredients of the mixture that will quickly cause them constipation and then death really occurs in a flash. In this case, even a daily free run around the room for several hours did not prevent this unpleasant event. Unless you keep only one chinchilla, you won't be able to tell in the amount of joint poo that one of them is gradually stopping excreting. Unfortunately, they probably do not make the sounds caused by the pain and the end comes in about two days, as it did with us. Confirmed by the vet when checking why one of the chinchillas is suddenly lethargic since morning.
