The fryer fulfills what I expected. I wanted one without Teflon, so the selection was pretty limited.
Given that the pot on top doesn't fully extend, some of the heat goes out into the kitchen/room and the smell of the food is more intense as well. I don't know about other deep fryers, but you need to turn or stir the food as it cooks. Some foods have a tendency to get very stuck to the stainless steel grid that is at the bottom of the container.
I suspect that there will be better versions of hot air fryers on the market (especially if you don't mind Teflon), but overall, considering the price and my material requirements, I rate it positively.
