We are only drying apples on the crossbar so far and it works perfectly. Dry the relatively narrow marigolds for 8 hours at 65 degrees. The apple program is 75 degrees for 9 hours and that dries the apples too much. But that's for everyone to find out.

We returned the dryer. Even after several batches of dried fruit ( apples, pears, banana) the dryer still produced a plastic smell that could be smelled and tasted in the dried fruit. So the dryer is nice, but practically unusable.
