Carrying a camera at your waist is great because it' s handy and doesn' t matter when running or climbing.
It also solves the problem of lack of pockets when you are a boy and you do not have a purse and you have keys, a wallet, dog poop bags, a handkerchief and so on in your jeans pockets.
