I was choosing at first according to the reviews between these and the Sony XM5, in the end I ordered both. the sound quality is practically the same, the Sony have better ANC, these have better pass-through mode, but I was too disappointed with both of them in how they actually sound. Headphones for 9k and they sound the same as 8 year old RIG800 for 3k and still with crazy PC response. Even the AirPods Pro 2 renders a clearer sound and the bass is the same. They press on the head, harder on the ears, ANC utter misery ( I have it in the house to the TV I don't care for quality ANC, but compared to the Airpods for 2 there isn't really ANC there either) I'm not saying they sound bad, they sound good, but the disappointment compared to the RIG800 was great and I returned both.
In the end, however, I still tried the cheaper Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 and that's already a class difference.

I like open back headphones, however I bought these and I' m disappointed. I just don' t like the muffled sound of closed headphones, even with these more expensive branded headphones. They are big and heavy, the ears sweat under them, the noise reduction is weak - and that' s why I chose them. But at least they don' t give you a headache - they don' t push. What annoys me is that they turn off quickly and turn on and connect slowly.
