I' ve been using this headphone design from Audio-Technica for about 12 years (music and gaming), now I bought these new ones because there' s still nothing better. Of course, sound quality is a purely subjective matter. If you can have open headphones, definitely go ahead and try it, because it' s a completely different level. The only closed headphones that compare to this are the Audeze Mobius and similar ones that have planar magnetic transducers, otherwise I couldn' t find anything that plays like that up to about 15,000. And Audio-Technica has significantly better comfort.
