I used to buy quite expensive motherboards, but I came to the conclusion that it was unnecessary for me. I use an external sound card, there is no board that offers such quality. Two slots is enough for me because I never actually bought ram. At most, I replaced the whole kit. Raid can do it, I don't normally deal with multigpu at home anymore, networking is ok. I don't miss wifi unless I have to, so I don't really use it on my home PC. I've only used Bluetooth once when I had it. In short, the reasonable power cascade that is there is enough for my satisfaction. I usually replace the cpu 1x - 2x during the lifetime of the PC. And once I think of changing the platform again, I won't have to deal with such a loss of value as on a 10,000 board.
