If charging, tapping, and pressure sensitivity were the only differences, the USB-C version of the pen would be a great buy for those who just want to write. The sensitivity when typing is not important, tapping can easily become rusty, and the fact that the battery does not always stay close to 100% extends its life. The magnetic cover of the USB port will please everyone who has to keep their fingers busy. Unfortunately, the USB-C version has a significantly weaker magnet than the 2nd generation, so I would recommend it only for use on a table, or with a case that secures the pen in some way. For idea; When I put the 2nd generation on the iPad mini, the magnetic force is strong enough to hold the pen up the entire tablet. The USB-C version flies away when I wave the tablet. In the same way, you only need to slightly push the pen to make it fall. I almost lost the USB-C version like this three times in two days because it just doesn' t hold when I transfer it to the tablet. A cheaper pen can easily become more expensive. The battery life is decent, I wrote for several hours and the battery did not drop below 60% in one day. When used for 1-2 hours a day, I would expect it to last at least a significant part of the week. However, the charging is ridiculous. From 0 to 100 takes more than 30 minutes. If you charge from a tablet, the pen can still be used, but it will take longer to charge. Personally, I would not have thought that it would be such a horror, I waited a maximum of 15 minutes.
