I am writing this review as a long-time user of previous generations (Home/Office Surgearrest). My old one sold for about the same money as this current one about 10 years ago. Both have 6 drawers. This new one seems to be made of less valuable material at first touch, the overall design is visually fine but the technical solution is worse than older models. The switch goes hard and probably as others say, it has a short life ahead of it. The cable from underneath doesn't hold well enough in that shaft, it tends to fall out. The whole apc rocks on the table, it's not even the poorly placed cable, it just has an uneven surface. The plastic itself was already damaged in one place when unpacked, it looks like it was either glued or etched with something, as if it was already in the factory. Those sockets on the back that are "downside down" seemed like a good idea to me, but I can already see that one of the cables will break over time. It's an ok solution when the apc must be placed further away from the edge of the table. But a version with pins on top would be better at the edge of the table (I don't cite this as a glitch). It has one more light compared to the old one - overload. So what I'll probably never see lit, I don't know what kind of consumer office-type electricity I'd have to turn on there. But maybe for someone a useful light.
