On paper, it is a very good laptop. Unfortunately, the volume of the fans even when nothing is running on the laptop is like having an airplane take off next to you. I tried different settings and still nothing helped.

I'm returning because of the high noise level of the fans. Despite the silent mode setting, they are noisy even when nothing is happening on the laptop.
I was pleasantly surprised by the performance and power consumption of the laptop. On that front, you get exactly what you probably expect, so I'll focus on the shortcomings, which are of course subjective. The keyboard has an odd layout for me-for example, a split left shift and characters in unusual places-but that's more or less a matter of habit. The 45% NTSC colour gamut is woefully low and a colourimeter was needed to achieve an acceptable enjoyment, however this is the compromise of low-end laptops. The system was full of useless programs like McAfee, so a clean install via USB drive was necessary. The cooling seems excellent, but the machine can be quite noisy even when you are not doing anything. At least basic functions such as the length of the interval for turning off the keyboard backlight or disabling the webcam are missing in the UEFI/BIOS setup. In conclusion, it is a shame that aluminium was used for the lid and not the lower body where it would have helped with heat dissipation. Despite these drawbacks, it is an excellent machine for the price.
