Fast network connection
The network storage includes two 2.5GbE ports and two 10GbE SFP+ ports for fast data transfer on your business network. Users can aggregate network ports to increase throughput or configure SMB Multichannel to speed up file transfers between the NAS and directly connected clients. When using both 10GbE ports, the storage achieves sequential read speeds of 2251MB/s and sequential write speeds of 1082MB/s. Expansion options via the PCIe slot
The hardware includes one free PCIe Gen 3 ×4 slot, which lets you install expansion cards to suit your company's needs. You can add an additional network interface with multi-speed support to this slot. Installing a QM2 card allows you to fit M.2 NVMe SSDs to create a high-speed data volume or to activate an SSD cache. This speeds up the entire system's response time and makes accessing frequently used files more efficient.
Data protection with snapshots
The QTS operating system offers snapshot technology, which records the complete state of the system and data at a specific point in time. These snapshots help restore files damaged by ransomware or accidental user deletion. Storage management automatically maintains enough space to create new snapshots at set intervals. The snapshot interval is 5 minutes, which helps protect sensitive company data from loss.
Running containerised applications
Developers and administrators can download and run ready-made applications directly from the Docker Hub registry with a single click. The storage thus serves as a platform for running microservices, databases, and other on-demand business tools. These applications are powered by a quad-core processor with a 64-bit ARM architecture and 4GB of RAM, which can be expanded up to 16GB.
Intelligent file management
The system includes the Qsirch tool for fast document searching. The integrated QuMagie service uses artificial intelligence to recognise faces, objects, and places in photos. The images are then automatically sorted into smart albums, which simplifies sharing and searching. The Qsync application synchronises files across computers and mobile phones.
Backup and security
The Hybrid Backup Sync tool unifies backup, recovery, and synchronisation tasks to other local storage, remote servers, or cloud services. The security of the entire system is enhanced by the Malware Remover tool, which regularly scans stored files. Access to administrator accounts is protected by multi-factor authentication, which helps prevent unauthorised intrusion and misuse of sensitive company data.
