The J1772 communication protocol ensures efficient communication between the on-board charger and the charging station throughout the charging process. Both connectors feature an ergonomic design with a soft-grip section, making them easy to plug in and use. Protective caps with an IP54 rating provide protection against dust ingress and splashing water. A practical carrying bag is also included.

The connectors of the Phoenix Contact Type 2 charging cable are made from robust thermoplastic, which is flame-retardant and resistant to scratches, pressure and impacts. The outer sheath of the cable, made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPE-U), offers high flexibility, long life and high resistance to damage and wear. Thanks to its construction and quality materials, the cable withstands more than 10000 charging cycles.
Phoenix Contact Type 2 excels in safety and reliability
Phoenix Contact Type 2 charging cable meets all safety standard requirements for charging systems IEC 62196-2 and SAE J1772. When the connectors are plugged in, they guarantee IP44-rated protection, preventing damage from splashing water and the ingress of particles with a diameter of 1mm and larger. When the protective caps are used, the connectors are resistant to both water and dust according to the IP54 rating. You will also appreciate the option to lock the device with a padlock.

Please note:
When handling the cable, use the protective caps whenever the cable is not plugged in, as they significantly extend its lifespan. Always coil the cable correctly after use, then place it into the bag to significantly increase its lifespan.
