Petzl SM'D twist-lock

The Petzl SM'D twist-lock compact D-shaped carabiner offers high versatility of use and allows you to attach safety devices, pulleys, loop ends. It is made of aluminum, which makes it very lightweight. Due to its D shape, it excels in its easy handling, even through gloves, which will surely be appreciated by all mountaineers. The H-shaped cross-section makes the carabiner lighter while maintaining the same strength, and also facilitates handling. The marking on the surface is well protected against damage or abrasion. The Petzl SM'D twist-lock carabiner is also equipped with a Key Lock system to prevent accidental locking. Through a small hole under the latch, it is possible to connect TIBLOC or MICRO TRAIXON accessories with a cord to the carabiner to prevent them from being lost.

Twist Lock failsafe

The Petzl SM'D twist-lock carabiner is equipped with a twist lock for the latch, which can be used in situations which require fast unlocking of the carabiner (loop ends etc.) and connection to a GriGri device. The Twist Lock failsafe works on a principle of automatic locking and quick unlocking. To open the carabiner, two separate motions are required, which enhances safety.
