Take care of your kettle
Over time, calcium carbonate, a natural sediment that forms when water is heated, can form. Sediment can stick to the heating element of the kettle. It is not dangerous from a human health point of view, but it can affect the taste of your drinking water. It is therefore important to carry out descaling regularly. Regular descaling can extend the life of your kettle. In normal operation it is recommended to descale 2-5 times a year. It is essential to descale if you find that the water takes a long time to boil or if the kettle automatically switches off early.
Scaling procedure:
Mix vinegar and water in a ratio of 1 : 2 and pour the mixture into the kettle up to the maximum level. Press the switch to start the kettle and wait until the water boils and the kettle automatically switches off. Pour out the mixture after letting it sit in the kettle for 24 hours. Fill the kettle with clean water up to the maximum level and bring the water to the boil again. Limescale and residues of the vinegar mixture can simply be washed off by pouring boiling water over it. Finally, rinse the kettle thoroughly with clean water. With regular maintenance, you will keep your kettle in optimal condition and ensure that your hot drinks are always tasty and refreshing.
