When composing your images, you will surely appreciate the 3" rotatable display with an electronic viewfinder. Scene auto selection selects the most suitable setting for the current scene. There are also several Face Detection modes available. Continuous capture allows you to capture fast-paced action at up to 5fps. In addition to regular photos, it is of course also possible to capture Full HD video at 30fps.

You can apply a variety of effects and enhancements to your photos and videos. Demanding users will also be happy with the support for professional RAW graphics format. SDHC/SDXC memory cards are used as storage for the recordings. Power is provided by the supplied Li-Ion battery. The D5300 is already equipped with a WiFi and GPS module which can record your position when shooting.
