This high-performance telephoto zoom lens was designed for digital SLR and film cameras. The lens features 4.3× zoom, a focal range of 70-300mm (105-450mm on the DX format). This lens of the AF-P standard delivers faster and quieter operation due to the advanced stepping motor, and so in addition to the shooting photographs, it will be useful also for capturing video. The aperture with an optimised shape provides a natural bokeh effect and helps to isolate the object from the background.

The lens contains an optical Extra-low Dispersion (ED) element, which ensures excellent optical performance without the usual distortions. Above all, it suppresses aberration which causes colour defects in the corners of the image. The advanced optical correction provides perfect rendering in all areas of the image field.
