Calcium NATIOS Chelated Calcium Complex, Calcium with vitamins D3 and K2 MK-7, 200 mg
100 capsules
The most effective, most absorbable and most stomach-friendly form is calcium bisglycinate. Calcium is widely known to support bone and dental health, but it also supports muscle function, normal blood clotting and the transmission of nerve signals, for example. Each capsule of this complex contains 200 mg of elemental calcium, which is further supplemented with vitamins D3 and K2 in the form of MK-7. Calcium is an important mineral for maintaining normal bone health. People suffering from osteoporosis, the elderly or menopausal women have an increased need for this mineral.

How is NATIOS Chelated Calcium Complex different from others?
The contained Calcium Bisglycinate is an unrivalled form of calcium that ensures maximum absorption without any side effects. Calcium is also supplemented with vitamin D3, which not only promotes bone health, but directly helps increase calcium absorption. The last beneficial ingredient in this complex is vitamin K2 in the form of MK-7, which helps to direct calcium from the blood to where it is needed, so mainly to the bones. In addition, this complex is produced in maximum purity. It does not contain any fillers, preservatives or other ethers to facilitate production.

What are the benefits of taking NATIOS Calcium Complex?

- Calcium promotes dental health
- D3 supports the immune system

- Calcium supports digestive enzymes
- D3 promotes calcium absorption
- Calcium and K2 maintain normal blood clotting
What is calcium bisglycinate best at?
- The Calcium Bisglycinate contained is almost incomparable to other forms. This form is not only as gentle as possible for the digestive system, but it is also the most absorbable form. The two most commonly offered forms are calcium citrate and calcium carbonate.
- Bisglycinate and calcium citrate are two forms that are gentle on the digestive system, but bisglycinate is up to 180% more absorbable. So, from the same dose, your system will use almost twice as much calcium. As for carbonate, it is a potent form of calcium, but not as bioavailable as bisglycinate. In addition, stomach acids are required for absorption, which can be a problem for some people due to lower production of these acids.
- It is also possible to encounter lactate or calcium gluconate. These are high quality forms that are well tolerated and have absorption rates approaching those of bisglycinate. However, the problem is their elemental calcium content. Calcium bisglycinate contains 20% elemental calcium, whereas these two forms are around 10%, so double the amount should be taken.
Why are vitamins D3 and K2 added?
- As already mentioned, vitamin D3 directly increases calcium absorption. These two components work very closely together and almost cannot do without each other. Vitamin D is available in two forms, which are Ergocalciferol (D2) and Cholecalciferol (D3). Both forms provide the benefits of vitamin D, but research suggests that vitamin D3 is more effective for increasing blood levels of vitamin D than vitamin D2.
- Vitamin K helps direct calcium to where it is really needed by activating osteoclacin. It reduces excess calcium in the blood and increases the level of calcium in the bones, teeth, etc.
- Vitamin K exists in two primary forms: vitamin K1 (phylloquinone) and vitamin K2 (menaquinone). Vitamin K1 is mainly found in green leafy vegetables such as kale, spinach and broccoli. Vitamin K2 is present in animal products such as meat, eggs and dairy products, as well as fermented foods such as cheese and natto.
- Vitamin K2 has distinct subtypes, the main ones being menaquinone-4 (MK-4) and menaquinone-7 (MK-7). Vitamin K2 is contained in this supplement in the most absorbable and effective form: MenaQ7® MK-7. It has a several times longer half-life than the K1 and MK-4 forms, so it can have a much longer positive effect in the body.
