Things to consider when choosing a pennyboard
Length
Most pennyboards are 22 "(56 cm) long, making them very compact and highly portable. There are also larger options (27" / 71 cm) that offer better stability.
Wheel hardness
Harder wheels (80A above) provide a faster ride and good grip even on smooth surfaces. Softer wheels are slower but offer better shock absorption.
Wheel size
Most pennyboards have wheels with a diameter of approx. 60 mm. Generally, larger wheels are faster and more stable on rough surfaces, but also slower.
Bearings
Bearing quality is indicated by a number on the ABEC scale (for example ABEC 5) - the higher the number, the better the quality of bearings. For frequent riding, we recommend ABEC 5 bearings and higher.
Max. weight load
Most pennyboards have a maximum load weight of between 80 and 100 kg. If you plan to do tricks, it is necessary to get a board with a max weight load of at least 20% higher than your own weight.
