Why is ABS material so popular?

This material is resistant not only to mechanical damage and temperature changes, but also resistant to acids, alkalis, hydrocarbons, oils and fats. They can be heated to their melting point, cooled, and re-heated again without significant degradation. Instead of burning, thermoplastics like ABS liquefy which allows them to be easily injection molded and then subsequently recycled. ABS has often been used in the manufacture of children's toys, ornaments, or parts of kitchen appliances and other goods.
