A smart home with Miele@home
The Miele@home system lets you fully utilise the potential of your Miele appliances and brings greater flexibility to your daily household routine. You can conveniently and securely network your smart appliances and control them via the mobile app, voice assistants, or by integrating them into existing smart home systems. The connection is made via your home Wi-Fi router and the Miele cloud, which lets you monitor the appliance's status, start programmes remotely, and get an overview of the wash cycle's progress from anywhere.
The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos has an AutoStart function
The AutoStart function lets you schedule the dishwasher to start in advance via the Miele@home app. The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos will then automatically start at the set time without any further intervention. In conjunction with the AutoDos system and the integrated PowerDisk, the optimal amount of detergent is always available, so the dishwasher can operate completely autonomously. This eliminates manual starting and worries about dispensing – the programme starts exactly when you need it to, and you can be sure you won't be faced with the unpleasant surprise of unwashed dishes.
The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos offers AutoDos with PowerDisk
The AutoDos system with the integrated PowerDisk represents a breakthrough in automatic detergent dispensing. It is the first fully integrated solution of its kind, where the dishwasher and special powder granulate are perfectly coordinated in one system. Dispensing takes place automatically according to the selected programme and at the optimal moment of the wash cycle, ensuring maximum efficiency and economy. One PowerDisk lasts for an average of up to 20 wash cycles (depending on the selected programme), so there's no need for daily detergent refills. The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos always releases exactly the amount of granulate needed – for perfect results, cost savings, and a more environmentally friendly approach.
CleanSteel – stainless steel with fingerprint protection
The stainless steel control panels of the MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel are treated with a specially refined surface that reduces the visibility of fingerprints. The surface is also very easy to clean and does not require the use of special cleaning agents. As a result, the dishwasher retains its elegant appearance over time, and maintenance is quick and easy.
FlexCare Glass & Bottle
The Miele dishwasher offers a special FlexCare Glass & Bottle holder for bottles, tall glasses, and other hollow containers, ensuring they are held securely and stably in the lower basket. In combination with the BottleClean function, you can achieve thorough cleaning of tall containers as the spray arms direct water directly into them. The holder is integrated into the cup rack area and, when not needed, can be used as a storage surface for maximum flexibility in basket arrangement.
XL-Assist for bulkier dishes
Bowls, baking dishes or pots – with the XL Assist holder, there's a secure place in the dish basket even for less compact items. Large dishes can be quickly secured in the lower basket, while small bowls can simply be placed underneath. Both items will be thoroughly cleaned. The Miele XL Assist holder is flexible and can be easily folded away when not in use. This lets you load your Miele dishwasher optimally as needed.
Quick and effective washing with the QuickPowerWash programme
The QuickPowerWash programme, in combination with UltraTabs All in 1, delivers perfectly washed and dried dishes in approximately 58 minutes. The specially developed tablets dissolve within 2–3 minutes, so the cleaning action starts immediately, and the entire washing process is maximally effective from the very first moments. Thanks to the flexible 3D‑MultiFlex cutlery tray and colourful FlexAssist elements, loading dishes is quick and intuitive, ensuring convenience and maximum use of space in the MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher.
The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos can even wash a half load
The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos dishwasher automatically detects the amount of dishes loaded and adjusts water and energy consumption in standard programmes according to the current load. Thanks to this intelligent optimisation, you can wash smaller amounts of dishes without worry – no need to wait for a full load.
Dishwasher with advanced AutoOpen drying
The AutoOpen technology automatically opens the door of the MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher at the end of the programme. This allows built-up steam to escape naturally, which helps to perfectly dry dishes, including plastic items. A specially designed system also protects the worktop from moisture, and together with optimised airflow, ensures maximum drying efficiency in this model.
Comfort basket system for flexible dish arrangement
The Comfort system offers a practical and well-thought-out layout for the interior of the MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher in Stainless Steel. The original 3D-MultiFlex cutlery tray provides thorough yet gentle cleaning for cutlery while also offering more flexible storage options. The height-adjustable upper basket, in conjunction with the MultiComfort area in the lower basket, ensures a variable arrangement for different types of dishes, so every item has a stable and secure place. In addition, the colourful FlexAssist elements help you quickly identify the adjustable parts and make optimal use of the basket space.
3D-MultiFlex cutlery tray for maximum flexibility
The 3D MultiFlex tray in the MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher offers an improved layout for cutlery and small kitchen utensils. It consists of a lowered centre section and two side sections that can be individually adjusted – the left section can be slid to the right to make room for tall wine glasses in the upper basket, and the lowered right section can comfortably hold large cutlery and smaller items of crockery. This clever system makes it possible to use every centimetre of the tray and ensures optimal washing and drying of all items, whether cutlery, espresso cups or other small pieces.
FlexAssist for quick and easy basket adjustment
The FlexAssist markings show which elements of the basket can be moved or adjusted to suit your current needs. Coloured symbols, such as a cup or a wine glass, indicate how to make the best use of that area. They also serve as practical handles, allowing you to instantly take advantage of the basket's maximum flexibility and conveniently adapt the space in the MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher for different types of crockery.
IntenseZone – powerful yet gentle washing
The optional IntenseZone function boosts cleaning performance in the lower basket without affecting the load in other parts of the dishwasher. It is ideal for heavily soiled pots, baking trays or pans that need a more intensive rinse, while remaining gentle on more delicate items.
MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher holds up to 14 place settings
The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher comfortably holds up to 14 place settings. The baskets are designed for flexibility and efficiency, so every piece of crockery has its place, and all items are perfectly clean and dry after the wash. Thanks to the 3D-MultiFlex tray and FlexAssist elements, loading cutlery and smaller items is quick, intuitive and incredibly practical.
EcoPower technology for economical washing
The ECO programme reduces water consumption to just 8.4 litres, which also reduces the amount of energy needed for heating. This water saving is made possible by a cleverly designed inflow system and a highly efficient filtration system. Additional insulation minimises heat loss and, together with optimised water flow, contributes to even lower energy consumption and maximum washing efficiency.
The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher washes exclusively with fresh water
The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher uses only fresh water and, in the Automatic programme, washes dishes with just 6 litres of water, which is less than the volume of a standard sink. This technology has reduced water consumption by up to 85% and has also lowered electricity consumption. In the ECO programme, the dishwasher achieves a record low of just 0.52kWh, ensuring maximum energy and water savings.
Wash programmes for every occasion
The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher offers a wide range of programmes to cover different washing needs. Selectable programmes and additional functions ensure that washing in your Miele dishwasher is flexible and efficient for various types of crockery and situations, whether you need an economy, intensive or quick wash cycle.
- Automatic – a universal programme suitable for mixed loads of normally soiled crockery; the dishwasher adjusts the parameters itself according to the level of soiling.
- ECO economy programme – with minimum water and energy consumption, ideal for everyday use.
- Intensive 75°C – a more powerful programme for durable and heavily soiled items, such as pots and pans.
- PowerWash 60°C – a fast and effective programme for normally soiled crockery.
- QuickPowerWash – a programme for the best washing and drying results for normally soiled crockery in approximately 58 minutes; based on PowerWash 60°C with the additional 'Quick' function.
- Gentle – a gentle programme for delicate glass and sensitive crockery.
- Maintenance – a programme for cleaning the internal parts of the dishwasher and rinsing out salt or other residue.
- ExtraClean – increases cleaning performance with a higher temperature and a more thorough pre-wash.
- Extra dry – more intensive drying, so even glasses and plastic items are dry after the cycle.
- AutoDos with PowerDisk – automatic dispensing of the optimal amount of detergent for each cycle, with no need for daily refilling.
ComfortClose for easy door opening and closing
The door of the MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher opens and closes exceptionally smoothly, so handling it is comfortable and requires no effort. In addition, it remains stable in any position you choose – whether the door is slightly ajar for quick access to your dishes, or fully open when loading and unloading the baskets. This feature increases convenience in daily use of the dishwasher.
Brilliant GlassCare for perfect glassware care
The Brilliant GlassCare system ensures exceptionally gentle washing of delicate glasses. The Gentle programme operates at a low temperature of 45°C, so even thin glassware remains protected throughout the entire wash cycle. Wine glasses can be safely placed in the FlexCare glass holder with silicone inserts, which hold them securely during the wash. After the programme ends, the dishwasher automatically opens slightly thanks to the patented AutoOpen function, which allows for natural drying without the need for subsequent manual polishing. Precisely tailored detergents with a glass-protection formula also contribute to optimal care, keeping your glassware sparkling and damage-free.
Miele dishwashers can be connected to a hot water supply
The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher can be connected to a hot water supply of up to 60°C. This connection can reduce electricity consumption by up to 35% and shorten the wash programme time by up to 10%. In the ECO programme, the dishwasher's electricity consumption drops to as low as 0.29kWh, ensuring ecological and economical operation.
MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher has a Waterproof System for maximum safety
The Waterproof System (WPS) is equipped with a second solenoid valve directly on the water tap, which automatically shuts off the water supply in case the first valve fails. The double-walled inlet hose provides an additional level of safety – if the inner hose is damaged, water is channelled through the outer hose into the dishwasher's sump, minimising the risk of water leakage and ensuring reliable, safe operation.
Tested for a 20-year lifespan
Miele dishwashers were tested during development to last for 20 years of regular use. During the testing phase, the models and key components underwent 5600 wash cycles (equivalent to an average of 280 cycles per year for 20 years) across various programmes – day and night – to verify their reliability and long-term performance. Thanks to these thorough tests, you can be sure of excellent washing and drying results throughout the appliance's life, year after year.
Effective against viruses – scientifically proven
The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher has been scientifically proven to provide a high level of hygiene. During the washing process, more than 99.9% of viruses are removed, ensuring safe and perfectly clean crockery. This feature provides reliable protection and promotes a healthy home environment where hygiene is a priority.
Energy efficiency class A for economical operation
The energy label provides a quick overview of the dishwasher's economy and performance. The MIELE G 7040 SCi AutoDos CleanSteel dishwasher combines excellent washing and drying results with low energy and water consumption.
