Life of Faith 2025/04

Život víry 2025/04 - audio version of the only Czech interdenominational Christian monthly magazine. Read by Ludmila Matušková and Daniel Zeman.

The recording was made in the studio of Radio 7.

From the contents of the issue:

* topic: To have a father, to be a father

Being a father is like going down a wild river, writes P. Plot. From the position of a father, he reflects on the different periods of childhood and stresses the importance of being prepared. On the road to healing the wound,

caused by my father, invites D. Patty in "Dad, you hurt me." D. Novak reflects on the logical question of how Heavenly Father might view our suffering.

M. Rykl. About her father's passive presence and how she coped with it and became a fighter, M. Jochman. The topic is complemented by the article by J. Unger about parenting in the digital age and there is also a cartoon joke by P. Bosman.

* an interview with Australian pastor Richard Kobakian: "I'm not a shepherd, I'm a sheepdog"

What do they ask people in shopping malls? Why, according to him, are there no Sunday services for Christians? How do I reconcile my ministry in the church with my family life? How to turn a passive choir into an active one? And how can the Australian church enrich us?

Richard Kobakian has built a congregation where people of 55 nationalities meet and where people turn to Christ Sunday after Sunday. His views on what the church should look like can be provocative, but they are also very inspiring.
