Zachýsek Rumelka

The fairy and witch Rosabelverda has plotted revenge against the princely court and the innocent people. She transforms a ginger cat into a hound who gradually begins to manipulate people's destinies. It endowed him with the talent of appropriating the abilities and merits of other people, and thus winning undeserved honours and general sympathy. Zachýsek Rumělka ingratiates himself into society in the most obnoxious ways and the monarch, the Privy Councillor and others at court find him irresistible. How to get rid of his "spell"? E. T. A. Hoffmann, a German writer, but also a composer and painter, was a representative of late Romanticism. His short stories and fairy tales are dominated by silly stories full of mystery and small puns on the border between reality and fantasy.
