Yours till death do us part

Callum Flannelly would rather jump into an open grave than go to dinner or the cinema with a strange woman. However, there's only one condition to inheriting the family funeral parlour and continuing a legacy spanning several generations: he has to get married before his thirty-fifth birthday. And so he finds himself out of the figurative frying pan of the cemetery and into the fire of dating.

Lark Thompson would rather be crushed by a falling anvil than live next to a funeral parlour during her stay in Galway, Ireland. The feisty American animator has come here to rediscover her zest for life, not to be reminded of the loss of her husband.

When Lark learns of Callum's dilemma and his reluctance to marry out of necessity rather than love, she agrees to help the introverted funeral parlour owner. Although she has sworn off love for herself, she is an optimist and believes Callum can find the one and secure his inheritance.

But as the dating project progresses and their friendship deepens, so does their mutual attraction. The more time Lark spends with the serious, sarcastic Callum, the more she fears he'll succeed in finding a partner. And the more terrible dates Callum endures, the more his heart aches at the fact that her departure for the States is drawing ever nearer.

If those two think they can ignore their connection, they're dead wrong.
